Las Vegas, NV, Aug. 26, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — It’s quite a time for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA), as Betsy Fretwell, the Interim President & CEO, will bid adieu at the month’s end. However, fret not; she’ll still lend her expertise as a Strategic Advisor through 2025. For further insights, visit the LVGEA website.
Fretwell assumed her interim position in January 2025, right in the midst of a transitional phase for the organisation. Her leadership bolstered LVGEA’s standing as Southern Nevada’s premier hub for business allure and retention. Under her guidance, LVGEA launched several pivotal initiatives, cemented regional partnerships, and paved the way for their future undertakings.
“Betsy has been an asset,” declared Lauri Perdue, Chair of the LVGEA Board. “She navigated us through challenges with aplomb, strengthening regional ties. Her efforts have set the stage for enduring success, and we’re profoundly appreciative of her contributions.”
Throughout her tenure, Fretwell focused on honing the economic strategy of the region. She improved operational alignments and supported the transition to a permanent leadership. Her advisory role will ensure continuity on key initiatives, smoothing the path for her successor, Danielle Casey.
“I’m chuffed with what we’ve accomplished in these 9 months,” shared Fretwell. “It’s been an honour to partner with our Board, invigorate our team, and collaborate regionally. I’m especially thrilled to support Danielle Casey as she takes the helm as permanent CEO. Danielle’s expertise and energy are invaluable, and I trust she will guide LVGEA to its full potential.”
For nearly 70 years, LVGEA has been more than just a name in Southern Nevada. With a commitment to economic diversification and growth, the alliance attracts quality companies to the region. For more insights on how they foster a robust economy, visit their website.
